Watanuki Kimihiro, is the main character in xxxHolic. He is your regular highschool student, except for the fact that he has the ability to see and attract spirits. It appears that Watanuki has these traits due to his blood, something that makes his family very particular.Watanuki lost his parents at a very young age, due to this he has lived alone and become a very independent person, he is very skilled at cooking and cleaning. Watanuki is a very kind person, though he can sometimes loose his temper very easily, he is very polite and understanding. Another interesting fact, is that his name is written in the same way as April 1st, which is also the date of his birth.
Upon meeting Yuuko, he is forced to work as part timer in her shop to fulfill his wish to stop seeing spirits. He mostly does the cleaning, cooking, and whatever pops into Yuuko's head. His life begins to change once he meets Yuuko. As he begins to become involved in all sorts of supernatural ocurrences, he is able to achieve an even more mature point of view of things, his relationships evolve, he learns about many things he would have never imagined, and is on his way to understand the higher purpose he is meant to fulfill.
